Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: Why can't I see the Korean stock trading entry?
A: Please ensure your app has been updated to the latest version. The minimum required versions for each platform are as follows:
Android: 16.25.26118 or later
iOS: 16.25.26108 or higher
New desktop app: 16.25.17008 or higher
If you still don’t see the relevant entry, please try logging out and logging back in, or check for updates in your app store.
Q: When will funds from a sale become available for use?
A: Korean equities follow a T+2 settlement cycle. Funds from a sale will be available for withdrawal on the second business day after the trade date, but proceeds can be used immediately on the same day to purchase other Korean stocks.
Q: Is margin buying currently supported for Korean stocks?
A: Margin trading services are temporarily unavailable at launch. Intraday cross-currency position opening is supported—the system will automatically convert currencies and settle any KRW obligations.
Q: Will a circuit breaker be triggered if Korean stocks rise sharply?
A: There is no strict 'circuit breaker mechanism' (i.e., market-wide trading halt) during sharp rises. Instead, when the Korean stock market surges significantly, a 'Sidecar' mechanism is triggered—pausing algorithmic/program trading for approximately 5 minutes. Orders and executions by retail investors remain unaffected, and you can continue trading normally.
Q: Is KRW deposit and withdrawal supported?
A: KRW deposits, withdrawals, and position transfers are not currently supported. You do not need to hold KRW to trade Korean stocks—after placing a buy order, the system will automatically convert USD to KRW after market close to complete settlement. This process is fully automated and manual initiation is not supported at this time.
After selling Korean stocks, if you wish to convert KRW back to USD, you may manually initiate a KRW→USD conversion in the app under 'Account → Currency Exchange' (available on business days from 08:05–16:55 Hong Kong time).
Q: Can I modify both price and quantity simultaneously when amending an order?
A: No. Each order amendment allows modification of only one parameter (either price or quantity), and quantity adjustments are permitted only downward. If you need to increase the quantity, please cancel the original order and place a new one.
Q: Why was my order price automatically adjusted?
A: Korean stocks are subject to minimum price increment (Tick Size) requirements, with different minimum increments applying to different price ranges. The system will automatically adjust your order price to the nearest compliant price level.
