The 'world simulator' of Physical AI is here! WeRide releases the universal simulation model WeRide GENESIS

On January 28, WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD, HKEX: 0800), a globally leading autonomous driving technology company, officially released its self-developed universal simulation model – WeRide GENESIS, building a bridge that integrates Physical AI and Generative AI, connecting the 'real physical world' with the 'virtual simulation world', which will accelerate the large-scale R&D, training, and commercial implementation of autonomous vehicles.

Leveraging generative AI technology, WeRide GENESIS can rapidly 'generate worlds' in the virtual realm, accurately replicating extreme long-tail scenarios that are difficult to frequently obtain on real roads. This allows autonomous driving systems to undergo intensive training and validation within a virtual environment. At the same time, by continuously feeding back simulation-generated experience into real-world road operations, WeRide GENESIS significantly enhances the ability and iteration efficiency of autonomous driving algorithms to handle complex scenarios in the real physical world, greatly reducing the time and cost required for traditional road testing.
