AMD's Advancing AI 2026 conference is scheduled to take place in San Francisco from July 22 to July 23.

The team led by Lisa Su will focus on highlighting advancements in AI infrastructure, architecture, and development. According to a recent report from GF Securities, AMD’s upcoming 'Advancing AI 2026' conference could deliver multiple positive catalysts for the company's stock price,including the announcement of new hyperscale AI customers and the launch of a next-generation rack-scale accelerator, which could further narrow the hardware gap with NVIDIA.

Analyst Jeff Pu stated that the event is expected to showcase AMD's technology roadmap and believes AMD is steadily narrowing the hardware gap with NVIDIA through the MI450X, while the MI550X could potentially take the lead.

The market widely expects AMD to announce Anthropic as its third gigawatt-scale customer at the event, with the scale of collaboration possibly exceeding its previous deals with Meta and OpenAI.。

Additionally, GF Securities is optimistic about the strong cycle of the 'Venice' CPU, noting that it benefits from robust supply chain inventory planning and could drive an increase in average selling prices by 2027.

Analysts note that ramping up rack-level systems is a key market focus. The rollout is currently on track for Q4 2026, and AMD is expected to disclose more details on the MI450X and MI550X. The MI550X, featuring a 4-chip package and larger HBM memory capacity, leads NVIDIA’s Rubin Ultra in hardware specifications.
