RGB-Mini LED TV is about to welcome a 'major player'.
On April 15, Hisense released a brand-new poster to promote the upcoming launch event for the Hisense Xiaomo E5S series, scheduled for April 22. At that time, Lei Technology, as an invited media outlet, will attend this online launch event. Although the poster did not explicitly state that the Xiaomo E5S would feature RGB-Mini LED, the red, green, and blue dots in the character 'Mo' on the posterIn fact, the identity of the Little Ink E5S RGB-Mini LED backlight TV has already been officially announced.

In the view of Lei Technology (ID: leikeji), Hisense's use of RGB-Mini LED backlight for the Little Ink E5S series actually sends two signals:
First, from the perspective of Hisense's own technology planning, equipping the Little Ink E5S with an RGB-Mini LED light source indicates that Hisense’s RGB-Mini LED technology has long entered the phase of mature mass production. Perhaps many are unaware, that the Xiaomo E5 is one of Hisense’s core blockbuster products, having been the top-selling individual product during e-commerce events like 618 and Singles’ Day for seven consecutive years.Even outside of promotional periods, the sales volume of the Xiaomo E5 remains among the highest.
Unlike the identity of the 'National TV' for the Little Ink E5, due to the persistently high costs of panels and their associated driving hardware, RGB-Mini LED backlighting has long been considered an 'exclusive technology' for high-end and flagship TVs. Some TV brands have only just begun testing RGB-Mini LED technology on flagship models as late as 2026.
Precisely because of this, Lei Technology believes thatThe significance of the Little Ink E5S, which uses RGB-Mini LED technology, is not just a simple product iteration upgrade but also the best proof of Hisense's breakthrough in RGB-Mini LED technology.

From the perspective of the TV industry’s technological iteration by 2026, the release of Hisense’s Little Ink E5S will also accelerate the domestic adoption of RGB-Mini LED technology. Looking back at the timeline of domestic TV technology development after 2010, it is not difficult to see thatthe birth and popularization of every new technology in domestic TV categories have followed a 'two-step' model:
Flagship products lead the way by establishing awareness of the new technology among consumers; one or two years later, 'best-sellers' or 'blockbuster' products promote the technology on a large scale, bringing it into households in a more accessible manner. From 4K TVs and OLED TVs 12 years ago, to 100-inch TVs and Mini LED (monochrome) TVs more recently, and now to the latest RGB-Mini LED TVs, this has been the consistent approach.
At CES 2025,Hisense unveiled its first RGB-Mini LED TV, the 116UX, showcasing unparalleled color capabilities that established the prominence of RGB-Mini LED technology. And at next week’s launch event,Hisense will also use the Little Ink E5S to accelerate the domestic adoption of RGB-Mini LED technology.
Unlike traditional SQD-Mini LED TVs, RGB-Mini LED TVs possess 'native color' capabilities, naturally covering a wider color gamut (100% BT.2020), an upgrade users can 'see at a glance,' making them more accepting of the new technology. Additionally, with a thinner color filter layer, RGB-Mini LED TVs deliver more stable brightness performance.

Of course, considering that the Little Ink E5S has not been officially released yet, basic hardware capabilities such as the number of dimming zones and the light control chip remain unknown to Lei Technology. However, it is certain that as the latest iteration product from the 'seven-time champion' of domestic televisions, the collaboration-packed Little Ink E5S will undoubtedly trigger a wave of popularization for RGB-Mini LED TVs in the domestic market.
If you're planning to buy a new TV recently, the Hisense Little Ink E5S deserves your attention.
