Pony AI launches Robotaxi passenger operations in Singapore, accelerating commercial layout with a 'China + overseas' dual-engine strategy

On April 7, Pony AI $Pony AI (PONY.US)$ officially launched Robotaxi passenger operations in Singapore with ComfortDelGro. Passengers will have the opportunity to experience autonomous driving mobility services provided through the collaboration in the Punggol area.

This progress is Pony AI $PONY-W (02026.HK)$ executing its dual-engine expansion strategy, accelerating the overseas expansion of its Robotaxi business. At the 2025 earnings call, Pony AI announced that it will deploy over 3,000 Robotaxis in more than 20 cities globally this year, with nearly half of those cities located overseas. Currently, this Robotaxi service operates in the Punggol area in northeastern Singapore, covering a 12-kilometer route that connects Punggol Northshore and Waterway Sunrise residential districts. The route design aligns closely with residents' travel needs, linking key lifestyle facilities and popular commercial hubs such as Oasis Terraces, Punggol Plaza, One Punggol, and Punggol Coast Mall. Whether for shopping, entertainment, or community errands, passengers can conveniently reach their destinations via Robotaxi.

The service also integrates with the public transportation network, providing direct access to multiple MRT stations and bus stops in Punggol, effectively solving the 'last mile' commuting challenge for residents. The entire route takes approximately 55 minutes to complete, saving commuters up to 15 minutes compared to existing public transport options and significantly improving travel efficiency. Starting today, invited passengers in the Punggol community can experience the service ahead of the public launch and provide feedback to help optimize operations.

In September 2025, Pony AI, leveraging its strategic partnership with ComfortDelGro, Singapore’s largest transportation operator, officially initiated its overseas deployment of Robotaxis in Singapore. The operational route in the Punggol area signifies that both parties are moving autonomous driving technology from pilot phases to practical applications, injecting new vitality into local transportation. Prior to this, the two companies had already conducted autonomous mobility pilot projects in Guangzhou, aiming to bring proven collaboration experiences to the Singapore market.
