ðš Recently, our support team has discovered that criminals are attempting to send phishing emails impersonating Futu to users!
Please note that these emails may contain links to fake websites designed to collect your login credentials, transaction passwords, or SMS one-time passwords (SMS OTP). If you enter such information, scammers may gain unauthorized access to your account, resulting in the following consequences:
â Potential financial loss
â Unauthorized login attempts
â Transactions executed without your permission
â Changes to account information (e.g., phone number tampering)
At first glance, the email content may appear legitimate and very similar to our official communications. However, such phishing emails typically have the following characteristics:
1. Suspicious sender email
â Although the email name contains terms like 'NiuNiu', 'Official', or 'Customer Service', the email suffix is abnormal or inconsistent with the official domain you are familiar with.
â The domain spelling is similar but not identical, for example, having extra letters, missing letters, or using numbers in place of letters.
2. Urgent, threatening, or highly诱富content
â Claims such as 'Your account will be suspended', 'Trading restrictions', or 'Immediate identity verification required' create a sense of urgency, urging you to click on links immediately.
- Or use lures such as 'event rewards,' 'benefit distributions,' or 'limited-time red packets' to entice you into clicking unknown links.
3. Directing users to input sensitive information on non-official pages
- The link in the email opens an unfamiliar website; the page design may resemble Futu, but the URL is clearly abnormal.
- Requests for account, login password, payment password, SMS verification code, and other sensitive information.
â ïžNiuNiu Security Assistant reminds you: Stay vigilant and stay away from phishing. Please keep the following security principles in mind:
â ð
Do not easily trust links and attachments in suspicious emails, please carefully verify the URL and sender's information
â ð
Do not provide sensitive information via any email, Futu will never request your password via email
â ð
Do not click on suspicious links to log in to Futu, always log in through the "official entrance"
If you encounter suspicious behavior, you can verify it through the following methods ð:
1. Click on "My Account--My Customer Service" to initiate a consultation.
