On January 9, reporters learned from Cainiao that its global logistics network had achieved a new breakthrough: the launch of G2G (country-to-country) cross-border logistics services in the Americas, establishing a cross-border logistics network for inter-regional parcel delivery within the Americas. The initial phase of the product offers cross-border logistics services from the US to Mexico, covering the most active e-commerce regions in the western US and 99% of Mexico, breaking the high-cost barrier of US-Mexico cross-border logistics at 60% of the industry average price, providing local e-commerce platforms and cross-border sellers with a cost-effective logistics fulfillment experience.

It is reported that among a group of Chinese outbound enterprises, Cainiao is the first global logistics company to provide G2G services across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Cainiao’s US-Mexico G2G cross-border express line focuses on 'low cost, high reliability' as its core product positioning, with an average price 40% lower than the industry average. Prices for shipments weighing between 0-2.5 kg hold a leading advantage in the market, meaning 'the price of a cup of coffee' can complete cross-border delivery from the US to Mexico. Additionally, this service relies on Cainiao’s self-operated local networks in the US and Mexico, using efficient air transport to reach Mexico in as fast as 8 days, offering cross-border sellers a highly stable and controllable end-to-end logistics solution. At the same time, this service supports various scenario needs: it is not only suitable for Chinese cross-border e-commerce merchants who stock up in the U.S. and ship to Latin America but also meets the cross-border logistics needs of local U.S. e-commerce sellers, e-commerce platforms, independent sites, and overseas warehouses.
At the same time, this service supports various scenario-based needs: it is not only suitable for Chinese cross-border e-commerce merchants who stock up in the US and ship to Latin America but also meets the cross-border logistics demands of US-based e-commerce sellers, e-commerce platforms, independent sites, and overseas warehouses. For cross-border merchants with daily order volumes exceeding 250, Cainiao also offers door-to-door pickup services, further enhancing shipping convenience and logistics efficiency.
"Unlike the industry-wide adoption of full outsourcing models, Cainiao has local self-operated networks in both the US and Mexico," said the head of Cainiao's Americas G2G business. "This means we control key logistics nodes for sorting, transferring, and last-mile delivery, making the entire process more efficient, transparent, and controllable, which gives this product the advantage of being 'cheaper than express delivery and faster than postal services.'"
Currently, Cainiao's global cross-border logistics network covers more than 200 countries and regions and has established 18 overseas distribution centers. Cainiao's cross-border logistics offers a multi-layered, competitive product system including efficient five-day delivery, ten-day delivery, customs clearance, segmental delivery, and full-chain customized services. Among these, the 'Global Five-Day Delivery' product already covers 14 countries in Europe and Asia. On the foundation of strengthening its end-to-end cross-border logistics services for China, Cainiao is also continuously enhancing its overseas local logistics network. In addition to the Americas G2G product, Cainiao’s G2G 'Three-Day Delivery' service has been the first to cover Europe and the Middle East.
