The Nanjing Red Cross Society pioneered the construction of a new residential area and introduced the first AED to settle in Midea

On June 23, the launch ceremony of “Caring for Life 'Saving' by Your Side — AED Equipment Settlement Community and Learning First Aid Project” was held in Jinmaofangyuan, Nanjing. At the conference, the Nanjing Red Cross Society announced the “On Installing AED in New Buildings and New Residential Communities” initiative. The first AED equipment independently introduced by housing companies officially settled in Jinmaofangyuan, Nanjing.
Cai Jianzhong, general manager of Midea Real Estate's Shanghai-Su-Anhui region, said that in addition to Nanjing, Midea Real Estate will also be equipped with AED equipment in 11 urban communities including Wuxi and Xuzhou to create safe communities integrating first aid equipment, certified paramedics, and emergency first aid knowledge, making “safety” a new label for Midea Real Estate.

Zhang Min, party secretary and executive vice president of the Nanjing Red Cross Society, said that homes and communities are not just living spaces; housing enterprises should also meet people's health and safety needs on the basis of being livable and convenient. We are advocating the installation of AED machines and rescue training for property personnel as basic construction standards for newly built buildings and residential communities. Let the AED aircraft be set up to ride on the express train of urban construction and development, and jointly promote first aid facilities and first aid training.
The Red Cross initiated a “life-saving artifact” into the newly built community, Midea Real Estate, and the Shanghai, Jiangsu and Anhui regions took the lead in responding
According to the “Report on Cardiovascular Health and Disease in China” issued by the National Cardiovascular Center, the estimated number of deaths due to sudden cardiac death in China is 544,000 each year. About 1 person has cardiac arrest every minute, and 90% occur outside the hospital. Currently, the success rate of treatment is less than 1%. Once cardiac arrest occurs, immediately performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation and defibrillation using an automated external defibrillator (AED) within the “golden 4 minutes” can greatly increase the chances of survival and effectively improve the success rate of treatment.
The Jiangsu Red Cross Society launched a project to install AED machines in public places in 2015. Since then, it has continued to advance in depth. Take Nanjing as an example. Currently, all subway stations in Nanjing have taken the lead in achieving full AED coverage in the Yangtze River Delta region. By the end of 2022, the total number of AED installations in Nanjing will be close to 3,000.

In addition to installing AEDs in public places, the Nanjing Red Cross Society also took the lead in launching an initiative to install AEDs in new buildings and residential areas across the country. Midea Real Estate, Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui regions responded quickly. After the first equipment was installed in Midea's Jinmao Fangyuan, the other two also entered the Midea Mountain and Chenyuan Garden under construction and the Yongcuiyuan Community that had already been delivered on the same day.
Zhang Min, party secretary and executive vice president of the Nanjing Red Cross Society, said that community deployment of AEDs is not only responsible for community owners, but also a reflection of housing companies' fulfillment of social responsibilities. By 2025, Nanjing plans to set up 5,000 AEDs throughout the city, reaching an advanced domestic level of 50 units for every 100,000 people. It is hoped that all real estate development companies will act actively to support and participate in this public welfare activity to jointly build a “golden 4-minute” life saving circle.
Housing enterprise properties become emergency paramedics The Forces nouvelles plan to train 2,000 paramedics in a year
“After installing the AED equipment, it will serve surrounding residents. After the installation of AED equipment, property personnel will also popularize emergency care knowledge and AED usage methods to owners and surrounding people.”

According to reports, the first batch of emergency rescue certified property personnel in the Shanghai, Jiangsu and Anhui regions have taken up the job. Since June 15, under the guidance of the Jiangsu Red Cross Society, they have relayed in 9 cities including Nantong, Wuxi, Zhenjiang, and Nanjing. The local Red Cross Society has entered the Midea Real Estate Community to conduct public welfare training on emergency first aid, focusing on teaching common emergency care methods such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, AED use, and Heimlich.

“The moment I got my certificate, I felt that my sense of purpose was even heavier.” Guo Haiyang, a property manager at Wuxi Park World, said, “The property staff themselves serve on the front line and protect thousands of families. There are many elderly people and children in the community. After having this certificate, I believe the owners can feel more at ease.”

Ms. Yang, the owner of Zhenjiang Meicheng, told reporters that as a one-year-old baby, children are prone to choking milk and foreign objects getting stuck in their throat. She was very surprised to learn that Honghui came to her community to conduct emergency first aid training. She believes that training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and life-saving skills such as Heimlich should become the standard for all property training.

The Midea Real Estate Shanghai-Su-Anhui region plans to train 2,000 licensed paramedics within this year to serve the community and serve the community.”
Introducing AED equipment, carrying out first-aid activities for everyone, and creating safe neighborhoods. These are not temporary ideas from Midea Real Estate. In addition to building excellent product delivery capabilities, Midea Real Estate is also carefully creating “warm service capabilities.”
From setting up an epidemic prevention and food delivery commando team during the epidemic, to setting up convoys for many years to escort the college entrance examination, to taking care of pets, flowers and plants for owners who have left home, and insisted on thinking one step more for users, this is reflected in the creation of smart spaces for Midea Real Estate, and also extended to daily services.
A good community should not only live in construction, but also allow owners to live safely, move easily, and be well nourished. Step by step, Midea Real Estate is implementing its beautiful vision of the community into every project delivered and to be delivered. Warm service will also become the new core competitiveness of Midea Real Estate, helping it bring new vitality to the industry in the second half of the property market.$MIDEA REAL EST (03990.HK)$
