OmniRemotes Introduces "Perpetual Running" Remote Control

The new solar-powered Model P can sustain daily use for years without the need to replace batteries or recharge.

[Hong Kong - December 6, 2021] Omni Remotes, a global leader in home control solutions, announced today the launch of a new remote control - Model P, which does not require battery replacement or charging. The remote control is powered by solar energy and is expected to significantly reduce the use and waste of alkaline batteries in the related field.

Built on the eco-friendly concept of Omni's low-power hardware platform, Model P supports standard voice commands, Bluetooth, and infrared keys, consuming almost no electrical utilities when on standby. Through advanced cecep solar energy collection technology, Model P can run perpetually after 8 hours of indoor lighting each day. In complete darkness, its built-in battery reserve can also sustain operation for 4 months.

Model P is only 10 millimeters thick, without battery compartments or charging ports, while the solar equipment part seamlessly integrated into the remote control body with a different design from traditional ones. Currently, Model P is available to leading pay tv operators in the market and can be used with Android TV, RDK, and other popular set-top box systems.
