"A future without poverty." Musk looked forward to the transformation of human civilization that Tesla, Inc. 's robot (Tesla Bot) would bring on stage.
Tesla, Inc. 's humanoid robot prototype, named Optimus Prime (Optimus), was finally unveiled on the morning of October 1, Beijing time after more than a year of "warm-up".
The robot stepped onto the stage, showed its range of movements, waved hello and waved its arms in the air. In terms of appearance, it is still very different from Musk's previous PPT: the prototype on the stage is not "sheathed" and the body is not so slender.
But it is also convenient for Tesla, Inc. to directly show the "soul" of Optimus Prime, and the staff even pointed directly to a part of it and said, "by the way, this is the self-driving computer we use in our car."
Tesla, Inc. said the robot runs on its fully autopilot computer. Officials described their efforts to develop and train the robot, from initial design steps to more advanced features, such as what it calls "pelvic unlocking", to making the robot's arms swing.
Musk demonstrated further practical functions through a demo video, such as moving cartons in a car factory, watering plants and moving metal rods.
Subsequently, Musk also directly invited the next generation of products to the stage, but unfortunately, now it still needs three people to help.
For the specific commercialization, Musk said Optimus Prime.
