According to an internal email obtained by Reuters, Elon Musk, CEO of the American electric vehicle giant Tesla, stated that he has a "super bad feeling" about the economy and that the company must lay off about 10% of its workforce.
The email, sent to Tesla executives today, is titled "Pause all global hiring."
Reuters has not yet contacted Tesla for comment.
Earlier this week, Musk requested Tesla employees to return to office work from remote work, or else leave the company.
In the email he sent to employees on the evening of May 31, he wrote: "All Tesla employees must spend at least 40 hours per week in the office."
Musk also mentioned: "If you do not come, we will assume that you have resigned."
