1. Why can swindlers send fraudulent text messages with the same sender name as the official?
For SMS operators in Hong Kong, the senders of enterprises come in two forms, as shown in the above screenshot:
(1) Public SMS channel, such as "QSMS" in the screenshot. This kind of public channel can be used directly by every enterprise, without any registration information or permission control when sending text messages. Everyone can use it. This leads to loopholes exploited by bad guys. After enterprises use QSMS to send text messages, it is easy for swindlers to use the same sender to chase and send fraudulent text messages.
(2) Private SMS channel, such as "Futubull" in the screenshot. This kind of SMS channel for customizing the sender's name is a private channel that needs to be registered according to the requirements of the operator.
