Dear fellow investor,
Recently, our community moderators have identified a group of 'traffic diverters'—they pose as helpful fellow investors, lurking in BullBull Circle and group chats, luring you with seemingly attractive investment tips and gradually steering you toward external platforms like WhatsApp, ultimately carrying out scams.
This isn’t just ordinary spam—please take three minutes to read this carefully.
🎣 How do they operate?
Step 1: Bait the hook
They post comments under popular threads or initiate discussions in group chats, typically using scripts like:
"Last week I followed the instructor’s trades and made 20% in three days—message me on WhatsApp if interested: +xxxxxx" "We have a private circle open only to long-term users; you need to join the group to see today’s positions" "Official BullBull partner mentor—limited spots available, scan the code to join"
Step 2: Move off-platform
Once you add their contact information or join an off-platform group, the conversation completely falls outside NiuNiu's safety protections. That’s exactly their goal—to lure you into a place beyond regulatory reach.
Step Three: Execute the Scam
Common tactics include:
– Stock Recommendation Scams: Promoting "guaranteed-to-rise" stocks to entice you to open positions, then manipulating share prices to fleece retail investors
– pump-and-dump scheme: After building trust over time, they lure you into transferring funds to third-party platforms under the guise of "exclusive investment channels" or "high-yield wealth management products"
– Phishing and Account Theft: Requesting your account details or ID documents to directly steal your assets
