Columns NIO's November deliveries hit another record and doubled year-on-year for 8 consecutive months
On December 1, NIO announced the delivery figures for November 2020. NIO delivered a total of 5,291 new vehicles in November, surpassing 5,000 units for the second consecutive month after October, setting a new high for monthly deliveries for the fourth month in a row. This marks the eighth consecutive month since April this year that deliveries have doubled year-on-year.
Among them, the smart electric coupe SUV NIO EC6 delivered 1,518 units, an increase of 71.9% over the previous month, establishing itself as a benchmark model in the high-end coupe SUV market. NIO’s Battery as a Service (BaaS) model and flexible battery upgrade service have lowered consumers' barriers to purchasing electric vehicles, fully meeting users' travel needs across different scenarios, and significantly enhancing NIO's competitiveness compared to traditional fuel vehicles. Orders under the BaaS model accounted for 35% of the new orders added in November, demonstrating strong market acceptance of this innovative business model. NIO has initiated a new round of production capacity expansion across its supply chain. It is expected that the overall supply chain production capacity will increase to 7,500 units per month by January next year to meet growing order demand.
NIO delivered a total of 36,721 vehicles in the first 11 months of 2020, representing a year-on-year increase of 111.1%, with cumulative deliveries reaching 68,634 units since June 2018. As of November 30, NIO has opened 189 stores nationwide, including 22 NIO centers and 167 NIO spaces, with its sales network covering 111 cities across the country.
