Recently, Globalstar's stock has surged dramatically. A few days ago, Guo Mingqi revealed that the iPhone 13 would support satellite communication, resulting in a sharp increase in the stock price. In the absence of any response from Apple, even those unfamiliar with technology followed the herd mentality—buying when the price went up and selling when it dropped.
Around 21:45 Hong Kong time yesterday, Twitter and the WSB forum started posting a document, with a title suggesting that Globalstar would collaborate with Apple on satellite-related matters. At that moment, I didn't verify the entire content of the document and just followed everyone else in buying the stock. When the price consolidated between 2.5-2.6, I found it strange. If the news was true, why didn’t the price continue to rise? Collaborating with Apple should at least push the price to $10, which wouldn’t be excessive.
Feeling concerned, I carefully reviewed that document again. It didn’t mention Apple/iPhone/X60 chips. So, based on the FCC file number '0666-EX-CN-2021' mentioned in the document, I searched on the FCC and Google. Eventually, I found a document dated August 2, 2021, which stated that Globalstar would conduct an experiment/test with NASA for 18 months. Upon reading this, I immediately sold my 150 Call options, earning a 100% profit because I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough time to react once this document became public news.
