On September 1st, Nio Inc, Li Auto, and Xpeng simultaneously released their August delivery data. Li Auto's performance was stunning, while Nio Inc and Xpeng experienced slight declines due to supply chain constraints and production capacity switches.
Li Auto:
1) In August, 9,433 units of Li ONE were delivered, setting a new delivery record, with a year-on-year and month-on-month growth of +248% / +9.8%.
2) In the first eight months of 2021, Li Auto's total delivery volume reached 48,176 vehicles, with Li ONE's cumulative delivery volume currently at 81,773 vehicles.
As of August 31, li auto has 114 retail centers nationwide, covering 69 cities; 194 after-sales maintenance centers and authorized body spray centers covering 143 cities.
nio inc:
1) In August, delivered 5,880 vehicles, with a year-on-year and month-on-month growth of +48.3%/-26%. Among them, 1,738 ES8, 2,342 ES6, and 1,800 EC6.
2) In the first eight months of 2021, nio inc's total deliveries reached 55,767 vehicles, with a cumulative total of 131,408 vehicles delivered historically.
3) Due to supply chain constraints, nio inc cautiously adjusted the 2021Q3 delivery expectations to 0.0225 million-0.0235 million vehicles.
Regarding the month-on-month decline in deliveries in August, NIO Inc explained that it was mainly affected by supply chain constraints in China and Malaysia (due to the pandemic), and emphasized that new orders in August hit a record high, with strong end demand.
