$Meta Platforms (META.US)$ Plans to invest approximately USD 10 billion in Alberta, Canada, to build a 1 GW hyperscale data center, which upon completion will become its largest computing facility outside the United States. The company also aims to double its data center computing capacity to 14 GW by 2027. Addressing market concerns about potential computing overcapacity, Zuckerberg stated that Meta needs as much computing power as it can get. However, amid insufficient supply of computing resources required for AI development and operations, he is also considering whether leasing part of its AI infrastructure to external clients could generate additional value.
