According to Sogou Finance, recently, China Mobile announced that in order to seize the window of opportunity for expanding information services, promote the implementation of its world-class 'Powerhouse' strategy, advance digital intelligence transformation, build a new digital intelligence ecosystem, and stimulate new momentum for high-quality development, the company plans to apply for an A-share issuance and listing. It was disclosed that China Mobile intends to issue no more than 965 million RMB-denominated shares (before exercising the over-allotment option).
In its announcement, China Mobile stated that this return to the A-share market will help it create a new cooperative mechanism featuring complementary functions, positive interactions, resource sharing, and integrated development. This move will accelerate the deepening layout of digital intelligence, enrich the digital intelligence cooperation ecosystem, and allow shareholders, customers, and the industry to share in the digital dividend. China Mobile's Q1 2021 operating income reached 198.4 billion yuan, representing a 9.5% increase from the same period last year; net profit attributable to shareholders amounted to 24.1 billion yuan, marking a 2.3% year-over-year increase. As of March 31, the company had approximately 940 million mobile customers in total, including 189 million 5G package subscribers. $CHINA MOBILE (00941.HK)$
