In the early hours of October 9th Beijing time, the minutes of the Federal Reserve's September monetary policy meeting hinted at further interest rate cuts this year. The minutes noted that downside risks to employment have increased, while inflation risks have weakened or stabilized. All Fed officials agreed that a rate cut was necessary, with ten officials expecting two more rate cuts this year.
