The Hong Kong stock market continues in a volatile state, with not many sectors worth paying attention to. State-owned enterprise stocks are the only ones worth watching, as I've mentioned multiple times before. Starting from last year buying telecoms, followed by infrastructure, oil, traditional Chinese medicine, military industry, etc., this trend has continued for half a year. Profits are close to 20%.
This is the only relatively strong main theme in the market right now, but it has become too popular recently, so I'm concerned about a potential short-term pullback. There are several sectors where I want to increase holdings, such as domestic insurance, ports, and domestic securities. These sectors are lagging behind, but they align logically and still have room for growth.
Every weekend when reviewing various media platforms/forums, if something becomes overly popular, its short-term performance tends to be average. The semiconductor sector bought over the past two weeks is an example of this; I'll be more cautious this time around.
$Hang Seng Index (800000.HK)$ $BAIYUNSHAN PH (00874.HK)$ $COMEC (00317.HK)$ $TENCENT (00700.HK)$ $CNOOC (00883.HK)$
