On August 19, Kuaishou Technology released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026.
This quarter, Kuaishou maintained a robust user base, core commercial revenue continued to grow, and Kling AI revenue saw sustained growth. AI capabilities were further integrated into scenarios such as marketing, e-commerce, content production, and organizational efficiency enhancement.
In terms of user scale, Kuaishou's average daily active users reached 412 million, and average monthly active users reached 797 million, setting a new historical high.
On the operational front, Kuaishou's total revenue in the second quarter reached RMB 35.5 billion. Core commercial revenue, including online marketing services and other services primarily driven by e-commerce and Kling AI, grew 7.4% year-on-year. Adjusted net profit amounted to RMB 3.9 billion, with an adjusted net profit margin of 11%.
Kling AI's commercialization continues to grow at a rapid pace. In the second quarter, Kling AI's revenue exceeded RMB 850 million, representing a year-on-year increase of over 200%. As of June, Kling AI's global user base surpassed 100 million, covering 224 countries and regions, with nearly 50,000 corporate clients. This quarter, Kling AI launched native 4K video direct output functionality. Kling 3.0 Turbo further enhances generation efficiency and reduces creation costs. With the launch of MCP and CLI, Kling AI now supports AI Agents in executing batch video generation and automated creation workflows, further boosting content production efficiency for professional teams.
In the online marketing services segment, growth in non-e-commerce marketing services continues to be driven by content consumption, local life services, and AI application industries. In the second quarter, Kuaishou's scenario-based marketing asset production Agent drove a year-on-year increase of over 70% in AIGC short-video marketing spend. The supply of short dramas, including both live-action and AI-generated content, increased more than fivefold compared to January, while online marketing spend on short dramas grew over 100% year-on-year.
In the e-commerce sector, Kuaishou continues to advance the onboarding of new merchants and improve supply-demand matching. In the second quarter, the number of newly onboarded merchants increased by nearly 10% quarter-on-quarter, and the number of new merchants achieving higher tiers in the following month rose by nearly 30% year-on-year. The number of matches between products in the distribution library and influencers grew by over 20% year-on-year. In the first half of the year, more than 850,000 merchants utilized Kuaishou's free AI business tools.
